Paul Kemp finally got a job at The San Juan Star, a local newspaper which turned out to contain those ‘crazy’. Shocking indeed but in a short time Paul could adapt to this strange way of life. In Puerto Rico, everything was relaxed and the party is the most appropriate way to spend time.

Liquor so good friend Paul Kemp, in fact you could say there is no day without alcohol. In between busy drinking, Paul met a beautiful woman named Chenault (Amber Heard). Now the problem Paul is incremented by one another. He should seek a balance or his life would fall apart.

Review
THE RUM DIARY is lifted from the novel by Hunter S. Thompson same title, published in 1998. This novel was actually written early in the 1960s but failed to convince the publisher to Johnny Depp hands down. Might be expected if the project is widescreen personal project because Thompson Depp Depp Adala good friend.

Johnny Depp himself is a good actor and has been proven many times. This time a little differently. This movie script does not seem to provide space for Depp to drain out his acting skills. Two fatal problem in the script of this film is the unresolved conflicts and the characters are not well explored.

Character of Paul Kemp, played by Depp failed to appear as a highly intact because of the transformation that occurred was seen walking too fast while the chemistry that should exist between Depp and Amber Heard also appears likely to fail. What’s worse, the conflict between the antagonist and the protagonist’s character that should be resolved by either floating was over. (MPA / roc)
