This time, Pippa Middleton reportedly had a relationship with a wealthy prince in the UK.

As reported by the Telegraph, Pippa was said to have had a serious relationship with a man named George Percy. 27-year British conglomerate that is reportedly going to inherit Alnwick Castle which was used as the set of Harry Potter film.

“George is very serious and really fell in love with Pippa. Pretty soon, it looks like Middleton sisters will be a couple countess,” said one source told The Sun.

News about their closeness is actually not a new subject. Shortly after breaking up with Alex Loudon last year, they were spotted walking together. But then they deny that they were lovers. Reportedly, the closeness they have been held since 2008, but has not moved to a more serious level.

Alnwick Castle is the location itself is nothing but magic school Hogwarts in the Harry Potter sequel. This old castle has been standing for about 1000 years. Therefore, the price of the castle is estimated at £ 315 million. In addition, the George family is one of the wealthiest citizens who have acres of land, hundreds of fields and many buildings in London.

MOBILE COMPUTING

They haven’t quite created KITT —the chatty artificial intelligence built into the automotive star of television’s Knight Rider—but Dashboard Devices lets you give your ordinary car a dose of smarts with the $2,750 ENV-XC. This computer is built around a 1.66-gigahertz Intel Core Duo processor, with 1 gigabyte of memory and a 160-GB hard drive. It connects to an in-dash touch screen, which replaces your car radio controls, and features a DVD-read/write drive; a USB port to connect additional devices, such as a keyboard for writing e-mail; a GPS navigation system; and WiFi. It comes with Windows, but advanced users can install the Linux operating system instead. And yes, it will even talk to you. www.dashboarddevices.com.

21ST CENTURY RADIO

Tired of regular old AM/FM? Then consider this car radio, which will connect you to Internet stations around the world. It uses Bluetooth to piggyback on the data link provided by devices like the 3G-enabled iPhone. MiRoamer expects models to hit the shelves in the second half of this year at a price of $300 to $400. www.miroamer.com.

SOLAR PHONE

More states are insisting that drivers use hands-free devices when phoning from their cars. One good option is the $100 LG solar-powered speakerphone, which taps Bluetooth to connect to your cell phone. A single button lets you answer calls—and make them if your phone can handle voice commands. One hour spent charging the speaker phone in daylight yields about two hours of talk time; a car adapter that lets you charge directly from the dashboard is also included. www.lge.com.

GET FOUND

If you can’t afford a complete computer upgrade for your car, you can still get some navigation assistance with this portable GPS unit. Controlled via touch screen, the $189 GY 135 will speak directions and reroute you automatically should you miss a turn. It is loaded with maps of the United States right out of the box; additional U.S. and Canadian maps can be added using a memory card. www.thencc.com.

Nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless chemical element with an atomic mass of 14.00674 u. Constituting of approximately 78 percent of Earth’s atmosphere, nitrogen is found in abundance on this planet, most of which, however, is of no use. Since its discovery by a Scottish physician by the name Daniel Rutherford, in 1772, nitrogen has come a long way to become one of the most important element for humans, plants, and animals alike. The credit of this goes to the various nitrogen uses and properties. Before we move on to nitrogen usage, let’s take a look at the various aspects of this element, in brief.

Nitrogen Uses and Properties

Nitrogen, with 5 electrons in the outer shell, is trivalent in most of the compounds. The vapor density of nitrogen is 14.4, which is slightly lesser than the vapor density of air at 14. In simpler words, nitrogen is slightly lighter than air. It is highly soluble in water. A liter of water has the capacity to dissolve approximately 22 ml of nitrogen at an temperature of 0 degree Celsius. In its cooled and compressed form, nitrogen tends to liquefy into a colorless liquid boiling at -196 degree Celsius. If cooled further, it tends to freeze and take a white snow like appearance which melts at -210 degree Celsius.

Nitrogen Uses in Everyday Life

Nitrogen is present in all living organisms to some extent. Although we are not aware of it, we do use nitrogen in our day to day life, directly as well as directly. Nitrogen usage is not just restricted to biological processes in living organisms, it’s also used vastly in the industrial sector. The process by which nitrogen goes through several transformations in the atmosphere is referred to as the nitrogen cycle.

Nitrogen Uses in the Body

Nitrogen plays an important role in food digestion. Although, plenty of nitrogen is available in the atmosphere, it’s literally of no use for us, and hence we are left with no option but to derive nitrogen from our food sources. Nitrogen compounds are basically building blocks which help in growth of the body. In living organisms, nitrogen constitutes approximately 3 percent of the total body mass. When we eat food, nitrogen from that food is absorbed by the body in order to facilitate body growth. This element is especially important during pregnancy, when the fetus grows within the woman’s body.

Nitrogen Uses in Plants

Nitrogen plays an important role in various functions necessary for plant life. It is found in several parts of plants, ranging from roots, to the leaves and grains. Nitrogen constitutes around 4 percent of total body mass of plants. It’s an important constituent of chlorophyll which helps in converting sunlight into required energy. Like humans, nitrogen compounds act as building blocks in plants as well. The nitrogen found in proteins and enzymes in the roots of the plant, helps the plant to absorb water and various nutrients.

Nitrogen Uses in Industry

Owing to the various nitrogen uses and properties, nitrogen gas is regarded as one of the most important industrial gas in several industries. It is either produced by fractional distillation of liquid air, or mechanical treatment of gaseous air. Commercial nitrogen is provided in its compressed form, which is stored in cylinders. Nitrogen gas has plenty of uses in the industrial sector. It is used as an inexpensive alternative to argon gas in incandescent light bulbs. It is also used in manufacturing of stainless steel. In the electronic sector, it is used to make diodes and integrated circuits. Nitrogen usage in fuel systems of military aircrafts reduces the possibility of a fire threat. Owing to its inertness and lack of moisture, it is also used in automobile and aircraft tires.

Although it’s one of the most abundant element in the atmosphere, nitrogen in its crude form, is of no use for humans or plants. The various nitrogen uses credited to this element come only after it is treated, when it becomes one of the most useful elements for many biological as well as industrial processes.

Coal, oil and natural gas are the three different forms of fossil fuels that are widely used. They are formed by the process of anaerobic decomposition of organic matter under the surface of the earth for millions of years. Large scale use of fossil fuels started since industrial revolution. Today, they are the most cheap sources of energy available for the use of both personal as well as commercial purposes. Petroleum is used to fuel our vehicles while coal and natural gas are used to produce electricity for our homes and offices. Statistics show that almost three-fourth of the demands of the energy in the world is fulfilled by fossil fuels. Let us find out the relationship between fossil fuels and global warming.

How does Burning Fossil Fuels Contribute to Global Warming?

The main function of the carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere is to trap the heat obtained from sunlight and do not let it go beyond the atmosphere. It is because of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that our planet is warmer than any other planet of the solar system. When there is a rise in the percentage of carbon dioxide in the air, the amount of heat captured by the carbon dioxide also increases. This in turn contributes towards overall rise in the surface temperature of the earth which is also known as global warming.

On burning of fossil fuels, various types of gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, nitrous oxide, etc., are released. A significant proportion of the carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere is by burning of the fossil fuels. Evidence obtained from various research studies suggest that since the middle of the nineteenth century, there have been at least 25 percent increase in the carbon dioxide content in the atmospheric air. This is all because of extensive use of fossil fuels across the globe. As a result, in the last 150 years, the temperature of the earth has already increased more than 1 degree Fahrenheit. Moreover, it is going to increase further in the next hundred years. Thus our planet will be much more hotter in the next century.

This will have a severe effect on the climate of the earth. The weather conditions of various places of the earth will change drastically. Droughtsand floods will occur more frequently in many inland areas that have extreme weather condition which will badly affect the agriculture. All the glaciers of the earth will be melting at a much faster pace. As a result, the areas nearby the water bodies like the coastal regions and the banks of the river will get submerged under water. Many deltas, islands, thickly populated cities are likely to go under water. Thus you can see that the issues of fossil fuels and global warming and climate change are all interwoven with each other.

The image of disco is forever immortalized in the Saturday Night Fever movie poster as John Travolta struck the all too famous “disco pose”. The film glamorized the disco culture as an era where leisure-suit clad men danced their way from one discotheque to another, looking for romantic adventure. Disco received its name from these clubs that played nothing but dance music, with or without lyrics. Ignored by the most historians was that most of these discotheques were gay clubs.

Disco made much use of the rhythm guitar, as well as synthesizers. But much disco used an eclectic mix, like in “A Fifth of Beethoven” by Walter Murphy (a disco version of the classical masterpiece, with a much faster tempo). It was not uncommon for a disco record to have one side devoted to one song, for disco’s mission was to keep the beat constantly going and in motion.

Its style was conceived from traditional African-American genres such as R&B, funk, and soul, yet record companies would market disco for any person of any race. There were many disco stars, such as Donna Summer (“Hot Stuff”), CHIC (“Le Freak”), and The Village People (“YMCA”), whose songs are anthems of the disco era. Disco peaked with the Saturday Night Fever film, and its soundtrack made The Bee Gees into instant disco stars. Around this time, many rock and roll artists who would not normally do disco did their songs in the disco style, including the Rolling Stones, The Eagles, KISS, even Dolly Parton.

Many have said that disco has since been a “dead” genre of music that ended some time along with the seventies. Yet its use of electronic music and constant dance beat never died along with it, and its influence clearly has survived with hip hop, and even alternative.
